Here are some pictures of the Gréolières les Neiges ski resort. It is the nearest ski resort to the sea and coastal areas (Nice, Cannes, Antibes etc ...) of the Alpes-Maritimes department.
Ski with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea
The village of Gréolières is at the foot of the south face of the Cheiron ("top" of the Gorges du Loup); The ski resort is on the other side, on the north face of the Cheiron.
It takes a long hour from Nice to get to the station when the road is good. Arriving, thanks to the single chairlift and a ski lift, at the top of the ski area, you can see all the Cote d'Azur and even sometimes as far as Corsica. The panorama towards the North opens on the chain of Mercantour and the massifs of the Alpes de Haute Provence. At the resort you will find ski rental shops, hotels, restaurants. The ski area is respectable, especially during the week when the number of visitors is lower. Snow cover is very variable from one year to the next. You will also find cross-country ski runs on the plateau at the foot of the resort, as well as a ski school.
