The small village of Moustiers, in the Alpes de Haute-Provence, seeking to protect itself from the mistral, snuggles under the ridges of Mount Denier and the plateau of the same name. The number of tourists in full season will impress the visitor in search of authenticity of Provence, even if the place keeps an undeniable charm in any season.

The Valensole plateau, nearby, attracts visitors from all over the world thanks to its purple lavender fields as far as the eye can see, the Gorges du Verdon punctuated by Lake Saint Croix also participate in the overcrowding of the site during the summer. The village still has a certain charm. Strolling through the alleyways will not take much time but worth the detour.
