Oriental Living Room at the Alberts 24 january 2018

A small village hall in Alberts filled with more than 100 spectators of all ages (infants and great-grandparents included). Stands of pizzas and drinks held by the villagers surely for the benefit of a local association. Four applied musicians (double bass, accordion, drums and brass), talented, at hand, exchanging even a few words with the spectators between the pieces. A beautiful music, between lively rhythms and more cozy atmosphere. A great success in an intimate and warm setting.

Krakens at la salle du Dôme 27 january 2018

A frenzied group with hot brass. An energy that overflows in the room between groove at the Maceo Parker and festive fanfare. A beautiful scenic presence. The public asking for more pleasure from the artists, happy to play. Lighting that highlights the group.

Possible(s) Quartet - Songs from Bowie 24 january 2018 in the Briançon old town "cité Vauban"

Beautiful covers of David Bowie in jazz mode. A public of connoisseurs largely conquered at the end of the concert. A place adapted to music: the contemporary art center of the old town of Briançon welcoming a beautiful photo exhibition of Eric Stern, sculpture of Cerdic Rouze, videos of Sophie Kahn and Vincent Verrier as part of the exhibition "Mur -mur (e) s and metamorphoses "related to the rehabilitation of the barracks of the military regiment 15.9.
The 4 musicians (trumpets, trombones, clarinets ...) taking obviously as much pleasure as the spectators perched in the various corners of the place.

Grizz-Li 27 january at la salle du Dôme

A crazy energy, a kind of festive and joyful jazz. Choregraphies visibly worked to make Prince turn pale. Brass solos and symphonic melodies that sow chills of pleasure in the room. An enthusiastic public who dances without end!

Chat with Raphaël Imbert in the beautiful library Aristide Albert on February 3rd

"Jazz supreme: initiates, mystics and prophets" original book (edition de l'éclat) interested in jazz and spirituality served to Raphael Imbert, the author of the book, but also jazz musician, pretext to make us have a good time. On the program: erudition, intellectual curiosity, availability and some sax pieces as a bonus. The author, sparkling with vivacity and musical culture, fascinated the audience.

Six-Ring Circus, February 3rd at Salle de la Montagne

Air music, limpid. The singer with the beautiful voice accompanying the musicians over the pieces of guitar, drums, piano and bass for this closing evening. A nice moment.

Briançon Brass Band 2018

One of our big favorites of this 2018 edition. The forty or so amateur musicians from Briançonnais, as well as from elsewhere, taking part in the 2018 Master-Class of the Altitude Jazz Festival improving over the rehearsals and performances under the direction of the excellent Johannes Hagenloch (Old Fish Jazz Band). Musicians of all ages, some very young but just as talented as their elders, wearing music in their skin, determined to give the best of themselves. Final firework during the performance of the closing party and the wandering in the middle of the audience amazed at so much ease, groove and promise of the future!

Impérial Orphéon February 3rd at Salle de la Montagne

A varied style repertoire for this penultimate concert of the closing party. Rossini tunes sung by an overbearing accordionist and the photogenic choice of New York or Marseille. A rhythm mi gnouas, mi soul repetitive to the envy that we all particularly bewitched. A group of four musicians mastering their stage presence and pulsed sound, low-pitched sound and groove, with their instruments to the delight of the room.

Affiche Altitude Jazz Festival

Affiche Altitude Jazz Festival 2018

A favorite for this beautiful poster made of cool, bluish colors, a frosty mountain face, whose glasses reflect the keys of a piano with a warm and warm atmosphere. Terribly adapted to what we seem to be the Altitude Jazz Festival.Note the drop on the nose and the almost Buddhist impassivity of the character!

Graphics of the excellent Jérôme Bouquemont & Régis Ferré (assisted by Mr Manolo ;-))
