The Oriental Art Museum (MAO) of Turin deserves to be better known. The place is located in a quiet lane, not far from the large open-air market of the city in the area of the "Porta Palazzo" and the Umberto I covered gallery. Several floors allow visitors beautiful cultural discoveries in the form of showcases exhibiting objects, figurines, paintings, sculptures and frescoes of large sizes etc....

The Turin Porta Palazzo market is well worth a visit, as some tourist guides describe it, probably mistakenly, as the largest open-air market in Europe. The prices of food would allow all French great savings, especially since the products have all the attractions of a good quality.

A nice hotel in the city center of Turin. Located a few meters from the central station Porta Nova, by which trains arrive from the Alps (Oulx for the High Alpine...). The hotel has a really nice spa, ideal for relaxing after a day out in the city center, between shopping or cultural visits.

We recommend this beautiful documentary "Sonita", story of a young Afghan girl (Sonita Alizadeh) refugee in Iran and helped by an association providing assistance to child street workers in Tehran. This is a true story, filmed on the shoulder, with few resources and shows the journey of a teenager, brimming with life, facing obscurantism.

Emmanuel Saint Fuscien (Doctor in Contemporary History and Lecturer at EHESS) devotes an interesting book to Freinet, under the title "A teatcher at war". Célestin Freinet, whose theses, in a few words, consist in putting the student at the center of learning, lived in Vallouise a few years at the end of the Second World War. His wife Elise Lagier Bruno being from the beautiful high alpine valley. He previously lived in the south of France, campaigned in the communist movement of the Alpes Maritimes and participated in the two world wars of the 20 th century.

Razzia a powerful and intelligent movie. Through this film, the director and screenwriter tells us about the evolution and tightness of societies. The realization, the actor and the photography as well as the scenario are particularly successful. We were lucky in our end of the alpine world, in Briançon on October 27, 2017 at the cinema l'Eden, to be able to attend a preview screening of the film... several months before its official release (Release date : March 14 2018).
